Our calling is what we believe God has put our church in place for. It's our transcendent vision from God that drives what we do here at Grace Place.

What we believe lays out what we hold to be true about God, Jesus, Man and is the foundation for what we hold as truth here at Grace Place Church.
We seek to see God move among His people, where the lost meet Christ, the Holy Spirit transforms lives and disciples are made.
God calls us to have an intimate relationship with Him. The best way to do that is through His word.
Once we know Christ, we grow in Him through serving and living in biblical community.
We go out to lead others to Christ by making disciples wherever we are. We want all people to know him.

The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God; that it was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit; that it is the source of God’s absolute truth; that because it was inspired by God, it is truth without error in the original manuscripts.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 2:20-21)
We believe in one God who exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that they are co-equal and one God; that God created the world according to the Biblical account; that God is holy, majestic, loving, just, all knowing and all powerful.
(Genesis 1-2; Matthew 28:19)
We believe all people were created in the spiritual image of God to have fellowship with Him, but since all people sin, all become separated from God; and are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, who came as a man to reveal God to people; that He lived a sinless life to be the perfect sacrifice for our sin on a cross; that He arose from the dead to show His power over sin and death; that He will return someday to reign.
(Hebrews 4:15; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God; that He is God’s presence in every believer from the moment they believe to guide and equip them to serve God.
(John 16:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13)
We believe salvation is only by grace through faith as a person turns from sin and self and believes in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus; that salvation is entirely separate from good works, baptism, communion, church membership or any effort people make; that God freely offers salvation to all who truly believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus is sufficient payment for their sin; that once a person believes, they cannot lose their salvation because it is kept by God’s power and not by their own efforts to keep it.
(John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Acts 16:30-31; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Christian Life
We believe all Christians should try to be an example of God’s love; that by obedience to the Bible and yielding to God’s Spirit, every believer can reflect Jesus’ love.
(Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 3:16-19)
We believe people were created to exist forever and will exist forever with God in heaven or forever apart from God in hell; that a person’s place for eternity is based solely on whether or not they believe in the saving work of Jesus.
(Luke 16:19-31; Romans 6:23)
The Future
We believe in the return of Jesus above the earth someday to take the church out of the world (the rapture) and that later Jesus will return to the earth to reign forever.
(Matthew 25:31; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17)
Sanctity of Life
We believe all human life begins at conception and is precious to God; that God has unique plans for people before they are born, so all life should be protected as belonging to God.
(Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:4-5)
We believe we are a local congregation of the one church made up of all believers in the world; that the church is the body of Christ under His headship; that members are those who trust in the saving work of Jesus; that the church should glorify God and tell others about Him.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 1:22-23; Hebrews 12:23)
Baptism and Communion
We believe baptism by immersion follows the example set by Jesus; that it shows a living picture of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection; that the Bible commands all believers to be baptized to show they have accepted Jesus; that communion (The Lord’s Supper) is a symbolic way to remember what Jesus did on the cross to save us from our sin.
(Matthew 3:13-17 and 28:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)
We believe marriage is only between one man and one woman and that any other form of marriage or intimate relationship agreement or contract between people of the same gender and/or transgender individuals is a violation of God’s plan for marriage. (Genesis 2:20-24; Mathew 19:4-6)
